I want to be open and transparent with my audience about how I work with suppliers, brands, and products that appear on my YouTube channel and blog. This page explains how I approach reviews, sponsorships, and product placements, and how money and products are handled.

Reviews
A review is when a company sends me a product to try out for free, and I thoroughly test it and share my honest thoughts and findings in a dedicated video or post.
- I do not accept payment for product reviews.
- Companies usually provide the product for free, which I then keep as compensation for the time and effort involved in testing and producing the content.
- Sometimes companies provide a review guide or ask to preview a video, but they cannot edit, remove, or influence the narrative of the review. I only accept factual corrections to the video if I’ve made a technical error.
- If a product doesn’t meet expectations or has major issues, I will often decline to publish the review and offer to return the product rather than produce a video that just bashes it.
- I do highlight and include minor issues, suggestions, and improvements in reviews, as I think it’s important to give a balanced perspective.
Sponsorships
A sponsorship is when a company pays me (or provides a product of value) to feature their product in a short segment within one of my videos.
- Sponsored segments are different from reviews. These are 60–90 second integrations clearly identified as sponsored content.
- A sponsor may pay for the feature, or sometimes provide a product of value in exchange.
- Unlike reviews, I don’t do deep testing of sponsored products. The goal is to introduce or showcase the product to my audience.
- I only accept sponsorships for products that are relevant, useful, or interesting to my viewers.
- If I believe the product is poor quality or not a good fit, I decline the sponsorship.
Product Placements
A product placement is when I’m given tools or equipment to use passively in my videos without direct payment or a dedicated review segment.
- Occasionally, companies provide tools or equipment that I use passively in my videos.
- These placements are not paid, but I may link to the product in the video description if I think my audience would be interested.
- As with reviews and sponsorships, I screen these products carefully. I won’t include junk or items that I don’t believe add value to the content that I produce or to my audience.
Affiliate Links
Affiliate links are links that let me earn a small commission when someone buys through them, at no additional cost to the buyer.
- Some links in my video descriptions and blog posts are affiliate links.
- This means I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them, at no additional cost to you.
- Most of these links are through Amazon’s affiliate program, though I sometimes use company-provided links as well.
Content Use
I always retain ownership of my videos and blog posts, though I sometimes allow companies to use short clips with permission provide by me.
- All content I create remains my property.
- Sometimes I grant suppliers permission to use short clips (for example, YouTube Shorts) for their own marketing, but this is always with my approval first.
- I do not provide raw footage, and full ownership of my videos always remains with me.
Transparency and Trust
The most important part: I want my audience to know they can trust the content I create. My goal is to provide honest, useful, and entertaining content for my audience.
- I try to keep reviews as unbiased as possible, which is why I do not accept payment for them.
- Sponsorships are clearly disclosed.
- If a product doesn’t meet my standards, I reserve the right not to feature it at all.
- I only feature products I actually use myself and which I believe would provide value to my viewers.
This approach keeps things fair for both my audience and the companies I work with. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like further clarification on anything in this policy, please reach out through my blog’s contact form. I’m always happy to provide more detail where needed.
